Today was such an awesome day! We started off with our morning work which was about Spanish Explores. It was pretty easy and I liked it. All we had to do was read a paragraph and answer some questions about it. The paper didn't take me very long to finish.
After morning work we did our lit circles. Lit circles is really fun. The book we are reading is called Among the Hidden and I am really enjoying it. We have groups and each person in our group has their own job. I am the connector. What I do is try and connect something that happened in the story to something that happened to me in real life.
Next was music. We practiced songs from the play we are doing which is Seussical.Seussical is a really exciting play and I am glad Mr. Dary chose it for us. We have already found out who got what part, but I want to be in the crew and we haven't been able to sign up for that yet but we will soon.
When we came back from music we did Town Time. Town Time is where we split up into our groups and take care of our colonies. My group is Cami, Wiley, Andrew, and me. Our colony was running low on food so we decided that we would trade some of our gold for food. Queen Truby (Mrs.Truby) does this thing where you pick a unlucky or lucky note out of a basket and read it aloud to the class. Since Cami is our major she did it and we got a flood. Luckily the flood didn't do any damage since we didn't have any buildings so it was lucky for us.
After Town Time we learned about ratio in math. It's kind of interesting and is not that difficult for me. All you really do is compare but sometimes it's not that easy. We used a site called Spy Guys where you can learn about all different kinds of things. Since we were doing ratio we did the ratio lesson.
Next we went to band/study hall. I am in study hall with Olivia, Riley, Gannon, and Wiley. Study hall is for people who are not in band. I worked on D.O.L in study hall (like usual) and had Mrs.Truby check it. When I was done with my D.O.L I read my book called Clarice Bean Don't Look Now. So far I am really liking it.
When band/study hall was over it became lunch time. For lunch you either have hot lunch (which the school provides) or cold lunch (where you bring your own lunch). I had cold lunch. My lunch was very good. I had a Lunchable and chips. It filled me up a lot.
Finally it was time to go ice skating!! Parent volunteers drove us there. When our class arrived at the ice rink we got on our skates then went out on the ice. At first I couldn't keep my balance and kept falling, (now I have a lot of bruises) but after awhile I got the hang of it. We played tag and you never really knew who was it. Time flew by so fast and before you knew it, it was time to go. When we were leaving some people got snacks. I wanted ice cream so I went to the machine with all different kinds of ice cream in it. I was very hungry and when the thing went to grab my ice cream it got stuck on the edge, the freezer wouldn't close, and I didn't get my ice cream.
When the day was over we headed back from the ice rink and packed up. My feet were still hurting from the ice skates but it was totally worth it. I had to the early so I didn't get to do my agenda. And what do you know, the wonderful day was over.
